A long overdue Family Day

My long-term readers know that I have a kid and that kid has a Dad. We separated on good terms and still take both care of our boy. Since we hadn't much time together lately, we were able to have a family day just yesterday, and we had so much fun.

Kantows, that is Damiens Daddy, had the great Idea to take us out to a dinosaurs park.

Since I love the T-Rex best, I picked this song to go with it, I hope you will find it as catchy as I do. We all had such a great bonding time together, and it felt really family like again, even more, like nothing had ever shifted or changed during the last year.

Damien even told us what happens when to people get a room, "they start sleeping because everyone knows, that babies come from the birds!" God my son is soo wise, how could I ever doubt that child-logic?!
But the park was great, the dinosaurs were kind, and had eaten, so we could get close to them, on one Damien could even sit for a moment, to take a picture.

It ended how a family day is supposed to end. With Pizza for everyone, beer for the parents and a hot cocoa for the little boy. After some family shots, we took him to bed together, I, as the mommy, read him a good night story, and Daddy fell asleep, before Damien could close his eyes.

That is what I call a second date!

What can I say, for our "second date" I decided to take Marty flying. Yah all of you who read my blog know, with flying I mean sailing, in my wonderful catamaran Dragon Touch II - a Flying Phantom Model.

Tho he is not quite acquainted with such a boat, it was partially a sailing lesson, but he got fast were to move, so we had not even one problem or heeling.

Fitting to that awesome, very "racy" date, because of the fast boat, I thought I will show you another great mesh up song, this one is originally about Kerala boat racing. I am a bit sad that I couldn't find the lyrics, but I am sure, the music will speak for itself.

Our little tour took us all the way from Gale Nook, to Crows Nest and down to Syrens Isle, where we had a nice little break and chat. Afterwards back to Gale Nook, and some snuggling.

A little Sailing Song Tour

A stolen kiss, a sailing song, a heart that's heavy and a road that's long.
You pave the way in front of me, I'll need your anchor when I'm lost at sea.
Just a few days ago, I had a long sailing tour with my sister, and a new suitor. Before you ask, we decided to call it courting. For once it sounds just awesome and kind of old-fashioned, on the other hand its the pure truth tho, I just kinda like it.

We took a long way, up to Dex and the Northern Sea, to the Leviathan, and back. I can't tell much more about that afternoon, because in the end it was just another amazing sail, with my B55 the Hope. She is such a dream come true.

But while I was a bit researching for this post, I stumbled over the band Rackhouse Pilfer, and their "A Sailing Song" and fell in love. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

For once not the center...

.... Dakotas Day Out!

Sometimes I am not the center of my attention, often my lovely sister is. These Days, she had a nice tour with her boyfriend, to a special steampunk-ish place called Mieville Twain - Victorian Steampunk San Francisco.

All day long she was preparing for this evening, getting herself a steampunk outfit done, and NOTHING was over 10 Lindens, so it was basically made from freebies, just like the one her boyfriend got. The amazing thing about it, is that you can even with less to no money, get a great look. I think it is awesome to see what people can do with a bit creativity, if they really want something.

Tho, I wasn't there, to actually talk about their date, I can show you some nice pictures.

The Interview

The Goliathus Society is hiring. The race for the Job that everyone wants is about to start. Who is going to be the first one to pass the recruitment assessment days filled with mysterious puzzles and intrigue.
How bad do you want it? All you need to do is to pass The Interview...

A good friend gifted me the Gold HUD and I was hyped about it. I loved the Asylum and the Collection, so the Interview was the thing I really wanted to do. All the promises about riddles, for me who does riddle games every day, the perfect thing!

That's what I thought, and with most rooms indeed, the riddles are tough but doable, with some, it's really about thinking around the corner. For me, I am used to have a partner, was it sad, I had to do it alone, because you just can go into the rooms all by yourself.

But there is more. To reduce the lag the Madpeas build instances, I love it, but it also causes high waiting times, for me in Germany it basically means I have 3 hours in the mornings, and that is when I get up early. One has just a short amount of minutes, before you get kicked out of a room and you have to revisit. If you are unlucky, you wont get in because another one just took your place.
For someone as easily annoyed as I am.. a big minus!

With that system I am still not through, because one doesn't just have to solve the riddles, but to find 12 glyphs and insects. The glyphs are no issue, the insects are. I have finished all the riddles, and I am close to give up and ignore the prices.
Also to help with the riddles, there are coins now you can use for hints and help or just to skip a room completely. You get some of these coins in the beginning, but you can buy more of them as well. That combined with the fact that you get really rare hints where to start is a good way of making more money. I know everything in SL is expensive, but come on folks, we pay for the HUDs don't we? It looks a bit like a pay to win situation...

So what is my final result? I still love the Madpea ideas. ANd I will continue to check them out, because this was one out of three I didn't like. Do I still think The Collection was the best yet? Of course, do I think some of the riddles were too much even for riddle-pros like me? I do. But next to the annoying part, I did had fun, and that is, what the Madpea is about, isn't it?

A little Sansara Tour

I know, I know, I haven't done much work in ages. But to my defense, I collected some stuff, to make some really nice entries, an I dearly hope, I will succeed.

A little while ago, a good friend of mine, asked me out on a little tour all up and about Sansara, the first real mainland continent in SL, and the first one, that attracted sailors, and other water- and boat enthusiasts.

After a little drive around the cost, he took me with his Boss to Bay City. And I have been to many places in SL but this place.. damn.. it was a REAL city, like one would imagine one. I was amazed! Plus the lag was pretty calm, since Sansara isn't as over run as the Blake Sea.

Return to Innocence

It took me quite a while to think about, what should my first post after that long winter break be about? Just saying, hey I am back, seemed so.. weird. So I decided, to keep my style. I picked a song I deeply admire, and collected some pictures over the last days. I don't really know what to say or talk write about. Three month without Second Life .. were tough but nice too. Coming back is strange because, nothing really has changed, and yet a lot of things seem different.

My first tours, were just around the home base, now in Gale Nook, not longer my beloved Hay Harbor.I still hope, I will be able to get it back one day. The only real home I ever had. It will be my .. return to innocence...

And if you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself, don't hide
Just believe in destiny

Finally after one week, I was brave enough for a little tour with Jasp in his IF. It was a lot of fun, and that was what I missed most, the sailing, and my dearest friends.  On the picture below, I am chilling at my beach, not trying to look at my old place, because it's right next sim. And.. the new Hay Harbor isn't much easy on the eyes. But yah.. jealous much...

Oh, I can't forget, the new Catwa-Head. Dang.. I am in love. It took me around eight hours, to repaint my skin, so the face fits perfectly, but now it does, so do the lips. I do love it, what is your opinion?
