BIF or no BIF?

Today Jasp took me to Dutch Harbor, so we could check the date for the release party of the Bandit IF. It’s still three days, and I am almost dying to finally get one.

After that we sailed up to Skagway for more lovely BIF’s - and to check out this amazing nordic harbor. The view was gorgeous .. and the Bandit F - without the I - was amazing too, very natural.. rustic.

Unfortunately I was so captured in gazing, I missed taking pics. But, I got you some sweet shots of Jaspars Fiery Cross .. with the two of us sailing it.

Boat testing³

One can’t test new stuff enough, and in the mind of true pioneers, Jasp and I took again some time, to look into theShileds Sailing Boat.

At first, we worked a bit around, to make his boat as sexy as mine, so it finally got the name WHOOHOOO! The Fiery Crossand the Dakota, look great together AND alone. - We raced them down the Blake Sea Channel, around an orange buoy and back to Snug Sea. I won … with one or two seconds … but I won. *dances her awkward winner dance*

Later I took another friend of me - Sabine - to Dex, so she could get this boat too!

Boat Testing - again

Yesterday Jasp and I thought, we will put our heads together, and check this Zephi-Wind thingy. I told you about that one, in my last post. So we took our Shields Class and met at Snug Sea.

He was already finished with personalizing his one. But well I may need a bit longer….

So about Zephi-Weather - it is awesome. It is very detailed, and there is everything in it, from easy peasy to challenging insane. We rode the Shields down to Hollywood Airport and Crows Nest, all along the Blake Sea Cannel, and back, and we both LOVE this boat.

The nice part about Zephi is, that it is saved with the avatar, not the boat, so if you change the boat, and the next one got Zephi too, it will use all the changes to the weather, you already made, so it is really automatic!

I really can just recommend this boat, to just EVERYONE, who like to have a nice boat, that gives you a very great sailing experience.

And btw …. it took me one day more… but she is ready.. and I named her..Dakota, after my sister and soulmate.

Boat testing - The Shield Class v 1.1a

I would love to call that entry BIF testing, but it wasn’t the Syren I could try. Jaspar and I went to a boat fair at Tradewinds Yacht Club. There were lots of new boats, and two for free. My time is rare, so I decided to first check out the sailboat. Her name is Perseverance.

First I was very sceptical, but after testing, I am so glad I got that one. It has just 26 prims, and is very nice made. The scripts remember me a bit on the Trudeau boats, it reacts a bit like one of those, so no complaining here :-)

The speed is nice, around 6 knots, if you don’t change any of the settings. The physics and movements are smooth and very sweet.
And lets not forget the sounds.. they really “rocked” my world. Another nice point, you can jibe/wing the jib and mainsail. A function most boats miss, but not this one.

Another great feature, this model comes with ALL textures, so for boat-modding, you get all you need. It’s a small thing I love, you know, I always try to personalise my nutshells.
Also nice, it has Boat Weather. I really enjoyed it so far, but to read more about this feature, check out Zephis Website.

So a short resume: you can sail it with some of your friends. i couldn’t test that part, but I think up to two other avatars at least. Just 26 prims, and you can add more and mod your boat like you want. And all of that for just 1L$

So if you like boats and want another, or if you have no boat but want one .. you can’t be wrong with this one!

Waiting for the new Bandit IF

Today I went to Dutch Harbor for another look on my special sweety - the Bandit IF - named Syren.
I met Analyse Dean and Dutch there, testing the new IF .. so I asked her when that super boat will be ready. She said:  “by the end of next week if all goes well :)”

So lets cross our fingers, and hope all goes well :-)
