In the footsteps of Quron Jones and Lara Silverfall …

… or how Quron and I went to the Paleo Island …

An important message reached us on a very common Friday. Quron and I were just chilling in the summerly warm sun, as our cellphones went nuts. Magellan Linden, needed our help.. again ….

Dr. Talpa is trying to take over the Second Life again! Can you help Magellan Linden save the grid?

(Take part in a series of quests, collect valuable artifacts, and win L$ or prizes for your bravery!)

After we read these horrible lines, we knew, it was time, to get our comfy asses up, and to save the grid! And we had a nice reason to dress up in a very different way, but we soooo rocked it!

When we finally found rifles, guns and survival gear in the depths of our closets, we took the next Helicopter to the Paleo Island.. but we didn’t knew what happened next.. and we didn’t expect THIS!

Just the entrance was amazing, and something hit me.. like a stroke .. could it be? Are all the stories true, about the Paleo Island? Was John Grisham right with his novel Jurassic Park, but noone believed it?!

After we walked through the huge visitor center, to fill up our ressources, we had to wait for the Monorail to arrive. The train was supposed to lead us safely through the park …

There was no time, when we weren’t in contact with Magellan Linden, he gave us a special communicator for this island, led us, and helped us, and took care of the motions with providing matching, great music, for every situation!

Quest 1 - The Pyramids:

Someone or something has stolen the ancient idol mask from the sarcophagus inside the pyramids. Can you find it and return it to its rightful place?

Climb the cliffs, avoid the perils, and use the zip line to find the mask. Once you have the mask, return it to its rightful place inside the pyramids.

That something was a huge pterodactyl, and it was massive dangerous, but we made it, despite of the vulvano spitting huge rocks, or the dangerous tomb…

As soon as we were on save grounds, Magellan Linden had another task for us. We wont be Quron Jones and Lara Silverfall, if we wouldn’t have except it! No matter what the odds are!

Quest 2 - Nessie’s Golden Tooth

Here lies a vast lake, home to the infamous Loch Ness Monster. Magellan needs Nessie’s golden tooth. Can you find it?

Make your way across the lake to find the golden tooth!

We struggled with slippery wet stones, and dangerous waters, but we found the tooth and could bring it to a save spot. Other adventurers were less fortunate, and Nessi got them.. spitted to death!

Quest 3 - The Lost Treasure

Ahoy, landlubbers! Magellan needs your help to find the ancient treasure, but the key to the treasure chest has been lost. Can you find it and open the treasure chest?

Now it got dangerous.. like really bad dangerous, we had to go INTO the raptor preserve. And the velociraptors were loose and on the run … they hid in bushes.. and caves waiting for pray…

While Q covered my sexy ass, i could climb up this rock, to cover his sweet bum, while he got to me! And still no sign of the lost key…

We saw something blinking in tall grass near a cave, so I hid for Mr. Jones to cover him, so he could get the key! We wanted that treasure!

After a walk trough quicksand, a really dangerous ship and a maze, we found the amazing treasure, but we couldnt keep it, Magella Linden… was faster and took it for his collection! So we had to zipline us out of the raptor preserve, and got immediatly the new task!

Quest 4 - Out of Space

Dr Talpa’s experiments have gone wrong again. Objects from space have crashed landed! Can you help repair the communication satellite? Find the solar panel, and return it to the communication satellite.

While I was taking another picture of a  sauropoda, the Monorail cam, i struggeld and lost my camera … but this last one, got uploaded, so i want to share it!

The solarpannel was close to an active vulcano, and falling trees. Q and I had to be very carefull, and were always on the run, looking for places to hide and wait, untill less rocks would fall out of the sky. It was no easy task to bring the heavy panel back to the satelite, but with teamwork and patience, everything is possible!

Quest 5 - DNA Sample

Magellan Linden needs a dinosaur DNA sample. Navigate a boat to the far end of the cave. Be careful of the toxic water, and get a DNA sample from the sleeping T-Rex, without waking him…if you’re brave enough!

When we got the last quest, we thought he was kidding. a T-Rex, on the loose, probably hungry, and we shall get a DNA sample?! Are you freaking kidding me??!! .. But .. Quron Jones.. and lara Silverfall, wont be such big adventurers, if they wont do ANYTHING, not without fear…. to tell the truth.

Finally… sweaty, dirty, covered in bruises, scratches, bloody bandaids and very tired, we made it back to the visitors center. There you can get collectable prices, or money. This time, we decided to take the money… I made a hundret bugs .. but we weren’t in for the cash! NO MISTER! WE were in for the FUN and the ADventure and this is something the Paleo island writes in huge capital letters!

Rainbow Cruise #147 or …

…. how Dakota and I did the mole….

First things first, thank you Kovu for this funny cruise and will share it with everyone who wants to read it, the “Secret Berdav Mole Cruise - shhh” - how Ko called it.

Dakota my lovely sister and I decided to give her IF a run. This sweet folkboat is named F.I.M. - that is short for Faith in Men - something we kinda lost some month ago… well or way earlier.

The first leg was tough on this sweet boat, cuz we sailed very close to the wind, and we were hoping to see a glimps of the fleet. It took us quite some time, to actually make it to the first rendevous point. But we had a blast!

The third leg was running with the wind, and Kovu decided we shall try different wind speeds, to keep up with the rest of the boats … damn that was fun and in the end we make her run like 15 knots!

The third part of the cruise was very narrow and rough. When other boats just slide along sim-endings, the IF crashes into them and get collesion problems. So all of the speed wont work if there are aircraft carrier in the middle of the way, Destroyer Class ships or others….

Finally we made it home - we were last - but it was mad fun, as always. I haven’t seen ANY moles or mole people, but loats of water and nice friends and places.

A new old boat...

I am madly in love, you say this is old news? Yah probably, but i never told you this lovestory. it began at Dex, almost a year ago, when i saw this beauty for the first time.

A Schokker, made by Rene Marina. This is an old dutch boat, north-sea usage, mostly military in the 1800s, later rescue- and fisher boat. I saw this boat at Dex, and lost my heart, but I never got her… untill now. Yesterday I couldn’t resist any longer, and I baught this beauty, after over an hour of demo-driving.

I like the way you have to reset the rudder, just like with a real boat. The fact that you dont have any color indicators how to set the sails, was hard for me in the first place, but soon I got used to doing the math of windangle/2 = boomangle for the perfect wind.

I have to admit that I struggled badly with the dynamic cam, and with the fact that I always have to stop the dynamic cam after resitting on the boat, but this is just a thing I probably just have to get used to.

It is a perfect boat for family trips or a hangout with friends, plus it is modify, and that makes my heart race, cuz you know I mod just everything!

If you are into old and antique boats, this princess is a must have!!! My beauty is names XQuisite - in honor of both of her owners cuz it was a team-buy, by me and my boyfriend Quron. Thank you <3

The new Pacha-Addon

Some days ago I got the new Pacha-Addon. It adds lights, davits, steps, a diving board and windowframes to the Pacha. I skipped the windowframes, cuz I do like the solid hull better.

The davits are designed to carry an RIB - in this case the 420 Freeyacht Line that came with the Pacha. I had to ask Dutchfor a mod version of his boat, and he was so kind to give it to me.

There are also minor issues around the steps, causing no room for the nameplate. After a short chat with the designer, she made me another addon, for the stairs, so I could put name, home-harbor and nationality on them.

I really think this addon makes the Pacha a very luxurious version of herself, and it pretty impressing. We at least had our fun with it!

Today I thought it was time, that my boyfriend, and my son spent some time together, to get to know each other better. Quron had the great idea, we could go to the Zoo together, and Damien loves them, like most kids do!

We choose the Oasis Zoo, and it was amazing, we couldn’t even explore everything with one visit, so we will definatly go there again another day!

But we had all we need, even cotton candy, everyone in their favorite color!

The primate house was a huge highlight, and we had the luxury, seeing thiscapuchin monkey eat its fruits! Damien said very wisely “Oh Mommy, so humans are just apes too?!”

Unfortunately we started on the right side, but the left side had more kids-stuff. So the next time we will take the other way around. But Damien got spoiled badly.. not one but two monkey plushies and an ant-farm .. someone should educate his mommy….

Rainbow Sails YC Cruise #146

Yesterdays (18th of july 2015) cruise was a very nice sail, provided by Ai to us. It was a special tribute cruise to all of Blake Sea, and just sailing, how it should be. We ALL remember the griefer attacks some weeks ago, and how horribly they messed the sims for sailors and aviators up, the same. Now several weeks after the “bombing” we are finally free again, to sail without issues.

We started at Foligno, I decided to take the Faith, my Bandit IF. Quron, still a novice when it comes to sailing, took the challenge, and helped me weighing out the sails, and controling the jib while I was steering and controling the main.

The tricky thing with the IF is …. finding the fleet after everyone got under full sails. Cuz this lovely boat, but it is realistically slow. One of the reasons I love her so much, and yes, again HER - cuz she is my Faith!

Well I said without any issues … some are still there, but griefer aren’t the problem. I hope the couple on the boat had some adult fun, cuz for PG I would be pissed, if I had to get out of the wind to get by…

I am still way behind the field, like 765 meters - just a guess … but I know.. there will be another Rendevous Point, and they will wait for us, cuz they all know.. IF is hard work - so thank you very much Kovu, and Titus for strolling along, while waiting for me and Quron!

Under full sails on the last leg, close to the Second Norway Airport. If nothing will go wrong… we will arrive in abit … that was what I thought, but the sims had a little speciality for us, a free flight-ticket, back out of Second Life on the last sim, before we would have arrived at the Rainbow Sails Marina at Vindar …. but ALL of us where stubborn enough, to get back on track and arrive the way we should have arrived, with and on the boats!

Thank you Ai for providing this cruise and for reminding us how good the good times can be. Yesterday really got me thinking, how great friends are and how imporant it is to stand together, no matter how rough the prims are bouncing.

Sweet trips …

It was already late, but my sweet man Quron, agreed to go with me on a small cruise down to the Rainforrest sims, south of St. Martin.

I haven’t taken out the Faith for a sail in a long time, mostly because she is a hard nut to be sailed alone. This way, I could teach Q how to work the IF and we hade some very rare and nice quality time, just the two of us.

It was also the first trip with the new updated textures, Thank you Dakota for the gorgeous spinaker!

A very Disney Family day ...

Last Sunday was a very special family day for Damien and me, cuz we went to DisneyLand. I think the pictures speak for themthelves…

A very strange bee in a maze… we found Poos honey!

Waiting for the train to get us closer to the castle .. it was getting late…

But we did the tour in small world, it was amazing!

And a scaaaaryyyyyy little drive through Snowwhites story … i had to save my little Batboy from the evil queen.

This is when Damien discovered his heritage - King Damien of Munchkin Batalot!

And finally back at home with the perfect dinner for such a long day!

Rainbow Sails Yacht Club Cruise #145 - it’s weekly

Even if it comes a bit late, my two cents about the latest cruise. I sooo loved it! It was totally open sea, you could really enjoy all the boats, and we had a perfect view on Fastnet Rock from every angle!

Unfortunately it was a short decision for this little sailor, so .. I missed out on getting the map, was the first with my Destiny, and missed the rendevous point … awkward…. but I had a couple of sailors on board, so we had loads of fun anyways.

A special thank you to the two smallest sailors around, my son Damien, and his cousin Rissa!

I so had to start with THIS video, and now back to the topic, well its still topic,WE GOT A NEW POWERBOAT IN TOWN!!!! I could have set this into the other post, but it deserved it’s own entry. I got the new Libelle by BMW made on the grid by Sympricity, and it’s AWESOME!!!

The steering is great, the movement very realistic, the rocking and dancing with the waves and the SPEED woohoooo .. always gives me goozebumps.

After customizing her by the HUD - this is really easy so everyone can customize it even without Photoshop skills!!! - Jasp and I took our new babies out for a ride!

All along the Blake Sea Channel, to Fastnet Rock, turning there and back home. And as if the boat wouldn’t be awesome enough, I could make a great shot of something AT Fastnet Rock!

This is something you don’t see everyday! It was a blast, and doesnt even took long, cuz these boats run up to 50 knots! And you even get a little HUD for the speed in Mouselook - which is just uber amazing. I love my new Libelle-tje, and I will never ever give her away! Yop yop!
