The Ghost Town - A MadPea Adventure...

... or how Lara Silverfall meets Martin "Rambo" Mendle

It all began as a totally ordinary day, as Lara Silverfall opened her mailbox and found a note. There was no sender, nothing to trace this letter back, but what she read was disturbing, and ... intriguing.
A darkness controls the soul. A darkness that drives a good man to unfathomable depths of depravity. No one is safe from the murky evil that lurks inside…not you….not me.
Discover the demons that compelled an honest, home-loving man to a murderous spiral of insanity. Capture for eternity the lost souls of his victims and walk among the dead of The Ghost Town.
THE SILENCE OF THE GHOST TOWN IS DEAFENING
Her interest was piqued, and she followed all the leads, until Lara finally found the lost fisher town, more a village, like thousands of its kind. But something was different, she could feel it, a darkness was hovering over this place, lurking in its shadows, waiting for one wrong step.

Soon she found an old journal, and the typical old guy, telling horror stories about this tiny town. After reading through the journal, she knew, she had to find all the souls, still wandering this place, haunting it.

But there was something else, a feeling, that she wasn't alone at this god forsaken place. When she arrived at the town center, someone jumped her from behind, she was ready to defend herself, but strong arms closed in on her and pulled back, right when a piece of wall fell out of nowhere and would have buried the huntress.

Her saviour was no one less, than Martin "Rambo" Mendle, friendly, kind and armed to the teeth. They decided, that it would be more save together, so both hunters tagged along, to relief the lost souls together.

It was a bloody hunt, the cruelties they had to witness will follow them forever. The souls, the ghosts, twisted, stuck in their last final moments of pain, relive their horrors enduring, over and over again, waiting for help.

The dangers of this place, scared the heroes of this story, but this ghost town, also brought them closer together. In the end, they waited for the fairy.. together.

That was a little excursion to the adventures of Lara Silverfall, I know lots of you love to read about her. This Madpea-Adventure is free, and around since December 19th 2015. After being disappointed by the Interview, i thought i will give this one a try, and I had such a blast!

My boyfriend Marty tagged along, and it was his first MadPea-Adventure, and I am pretty sure he is sold. The Ghosts were not too easy to find, but not to hard, the HUD was working great, just as we are used to, and the atmosphere was amazing. For the extra creepy feelings I changed my windlight settings a bit.

I really hope you will check it out yourself, it will be around for a bit, but I am not sure for how long, so be fast! My final result, a total must have, for every SL-adventurer out there!

The Ushuaia

I bought today the Ushuaia, the new boat by TMS. Thank you Dutch for such awesome work. OVER 80 textures are used to this baby, means I will have a LOT of work on my plate, because I already got requests for some personal notes. BUT I got the boat, and I wanted to show it of. Here on the way home, together with my boyfriend Marty.

Gaze at it as long as you can, when I am done with it, it wont look like this anymore! Now I just have to find a name, wish me luck!

アジアハウス - Ajia hausu

I thought a while about what I could write, or do, to not show you always the same things. Me on a boat, me on a plane... dahdahdah

So this time, I let my dear sister Dakota take me to the Asia House. A very exclusive and delighting "brothel" in an asia style. I fell in love with it right away, so I decided, to write about it. This is me, writing your beloved blog.

But just showing you pictures of a nice place isn't really me right? It took me a while, but I found for you very great music, to get along with, and even better it is from one of my favorite artists >World Order<.

Hana mo chiri
hito mo miyako e
kaeri na ba
yama sabishiku ya
naramu tosu ramu

With the cherry blooms
scattered and the viewers
back home in Kyoto
will mountain loneliness come again?
Ah, I see that it has returned.

This place has it all. Asian food, asian looks and beds, small houses for a small price to rent. Great landscape, and an awesome atmosphere. If you just want to hang out, listen to life acts, or enjoy the place. Photo shoots, snuggling, everything one can and wants to imagine.

main tumse pyaar kartee hoon

Fading in, fading out
On the edge of paradise
Every inch of your skin is a holy grail I've got to find
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire
Yeah, I'll let you set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around I can't see clear no more
What are you waiting for?
Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do (like you do)
Love me like you do, lo-lo-love me like you do
Touch me like you do, to-to-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Today I spent my day with my sister and my .. new boyfriend. I don't know how to put it but, he actually asked me.. and that was cute and... I said yes. And no we didn't have a letter with check boxes and there was no perhaps involved.

Since today was a really calm but.. amazing day, I thought it deserves its own entry here, with one of my new fav singers. I hope you do enjoy her as much as I do, and I hope all of you find someone to match all your needs.

Underwater Date

My third date with Marty was a special one, because it was no talking more swimming and diving. He took me to an underwater date. Tho in german there is a phrase saying "something fell into the water" translates to "something fell through".

This date literally fell into the water, but it didn't "fell into the water" if you catch my drift.

He took me to a diving spot I never had been too. It was beautiful. Wale watching, sharks and a turtle, and lots of sea weed and other underwater flora and fauna to enjoy.

We even found a Captain Jack Sparrow in a treasure chest. But my camera wasn't ready that fast.

I do love diving, so I think this date was a great idea and deserves a nice song, of one of my favorite Disney movies AND one of my favorite artists. Under the sea ... *hums*

A long overdue Family Day

My long-term readers know that I have a kid and that kid has a Dad. We separated on good terms and still take both care of our boy. Since we hadn't much time together lately, we were able to have a family day just yesterday, and we had so much fun.

Kantows, that is Damiens Daddy, had the great Idea to take us out to a dinosaurs park.

Since I love the T-Rex best, I picked this song to go with it, I hope you will find it as catchy as I do. We all had such a great bonding time together, and it felt really family like again, even more, like nothing had ever shifted or changed during the last year.

Damien even told us what happens when to people get a room, "they start sleeping because everyone knows, that babies come from the birds!" God my son is soo wise, how could I ever doubt that child-logic?!
But the park was great, the dinosaurs were kind, and had eaten, so we could get close to them, on one Damien could even sit for a moment, to take a picture.

It ended how a family day is supposed to end. With Pizza for everyone, beer for the parents and a hot cocoa for the little boy. After some family shots, we took him to bed together, I, as the mommy, read him a good night story, and Daddy fell asleep, before Damien could close his eyes.

That is what I call a second date!

What can I say, for our "second date" I decided to take Marty flying. Yah all of you who read my blog know, with flying I mean sailing, in my wonderful catamaran Dragon Touch II - a Flying Phantom Model.

Tho he is not quite acquainted with such a boat, it was partially a sailing lesson, but he got fast were to move, so we had not even one problem or heeling.

Fitting to that awesome, very "racy" date, because of the fast boat, I thought I will show you another great mesh up song, this one is originally about Kerala boat racing. I am a bit sad that I couldn't find the lyrics, but I am sure, the music will speak for itself.

Our little tour took us all the way from Gale Nook, to Crows Nest and down to Syrens Isle, where we had a nice little break and chat. Afterwards back to Gale Nook, and some snuggling.

A little Sailing Song Tour

A stolen kiss, a sailing song, a heart that's heavy and a road that's long.
You pave the way in front of me, I'll need your anchor when I'm lost at sea.
Just a few days ago, I had a long sailing tour with my sister, and a new suitor. Before you ask, we decided to call it courting. For once it sounds just awesome and kind of old-fashioned, on the other hand its the pure truth tho, I just kinda like it.

We took a long way, up to Dex and the Northern Sea, to the Leviathan, and back. I can't tell much more about that afternoon, because in the end it was just another amazing sail, with my B55 the Hope. She is such a dream come true.

But while I was a bit researching for this post, I stumbled over the band Rackhouse Pilfer, and their "A Sailing Song" and fell in love. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

For once not the center...

.... Dakotas Day Out!

Sometimes I am not the center of my attention, often my lovely sister is. These Days, she had a nice tour with her boyfriend, to a special steampunk-ish place called Mieville Twain - Victorian Steampunk San Francisco.

All day long she was preparing for this evening, getting herself a steampunk outfit done, and NOTHING was over 10 Lindens, so it was basically made from freebies, just like the one her boyfriend got. The amazing thing about it, is that you can even with less to no money, get a great look. I think it is awesome to see what people can do with a bit creativity, if they really want something.

Tho, I wasn't there, to actually talk about their date, I can show you some nice pictures.

The Interview

The Goliathus Society is hiring. The race for the Job that everyone wants is about to start. Who is going to be the first one to pass the recruitment assessment days filled with mysterious puzzles and intrigue.
How bad do you want it? All you need to do is to pass The Interview...

A good friend gifted me the Gold HUD and I was hyped about it. I loved the Asylum and the Collection, so the Interview was the thing I really wanted to do. All the promises about riddles, for me who does riddle games every day, the perfect thing!

That's what I thought, and with most rooms indeed, the riddles are tough but doable, with some, it's really about thinking around the corner. For me, I am used to have a partner, was it sad, I had to do it alone, because you just can go into the rooms all by yourself.

But there is more. To reduce the lag the Madpeas build instances, I love it, but it also causes high waiting times, for me in Germany it basically means I have 3 hours in the mornings, and that is when I get up early. One has just a short amount of minutes, before you get kicked out of a room and you have to revisit. If you are unlucky, you wont get in because another one just took your place.
For someone as easily annoyed as I am.. a big minus!

With that system I am still not through, because one doesn't just have to solve the riddles, but to find 12 glyphs and insects. The glyphs are no issue, the insects are. I have finished all the riddles, and I am close to give up and ignore the prices.
Also to help with the riddles, there are coins now you can use for hints and help or just to skip a room completely. You get some of these coins in the beginning, but you can buy more of them as well. That combined with the fact that you get really rare hints where to start is a good way of making more money. I know everything in SL is expensive, but come on folks, we pay for the HUDs don't we? It looks a bit like a pay to win situation...

So what is my final result? I still love the Madpea ideas. ANd I will continue to check them out, because this was one out of three I didn't like. Do I still think The Collection was the best yet? Of course, do I think some of the riddles were too much even for riddle-pros like me? I do. But next to the annoying part, I did had fun, and that is, what the Madpea is about, isn't it?
